With a 60% market share, ERV is considered the market leader in its sector and provides travel insurance for trips to Austria as well as from Austria to destinations around the world.
Why should you offer ERV to your guests?

How can you offer European travel insurance through easybooking?
If your Renting in Germany or Austria European Travel Insurance can be integrated as follows:
Step 1) Please let us—easybooking—know briefly that you would like to offer ERV in the future. This module is available to you through our partnership Available for free!
Step 2) ERV will send you a Partnership Agreement Please sign and return these documents. Once you do so, you will receive an agent number from them, which we at easybooking will enter into your easybooking account. Once the agent number is entered into easybooking, the insurance feature will be activated for you.
How can I offer insurance to my guests now?
You have the option to include the „European Travel Insurance“ add-on in every quote you send. Once the guest accepts the quote, they can decide for themselves whether to add this optional service or not. Guests also have the option to add European Travel Insurance under „Optional Services“ in the easybooking booking process integrated into your website.
In addition, European Travel Insurance provides you with an „affiliate link“ that you can embed on your website. Guests can also use this link to purchase travel insurance at any time.
How is the insurance billed?
As soon as your guests add insurance when booking a stay at your property, this information is forwarded to ERV. The guest then automatically receives an email with the confirmation and their insurance policy. In addition to the deposit the guest pays you, they also pay the insurance premium to you. Every month, ERV debits this amount from your account, however -15% since you are keeping this amount as a commission.
Who and what can be insured?
A maximum of 40 people and 30 days can be covered by ERV. The insurance takes effect if your guests:
- to suddenly fall ill
- be called up for civilian service
- get pregnant
- be terminated by your employer
- fail the Mautra/Abitur
- be facing a court summons or a divorce
Important to know!
If you, as a landlord, have a Cancel Reservation If ERV was also added to the booking, it is important to notify Europäische Reiseversicherung of this cancellation via email, as cancellations are not automatically forwarded to Europäische Reiseversicherung. This amount can then be credited as a negative amount on the easybooking invoice.
What should you do in the event of a claim?
The claim should be filed by the guest take place. The guest will find ERV’s contact information on their policy. As the landlord, you can send the guest an invoice for the cancellation fees, which the guest will pay to you. Your guest must then send the following documents to ERV to be eligible for reimbursement of the costs:
- Proof of Insurance (Policy Number, Payment Receipt)
- Claim Form (which the guest receives from ERV)
- Documentation of the insured event (e.g., a doctor's note)
